Business Development Lead, The DMZ
Ali brings a diverse range of experiences in high growth startups, public sector and nonprofit organization and is passionate about fostering growth within the Canadian entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Ali is currently Business Development Lead at The DMZ at Ryerson University, North America's #1 university based tech incubator, where he is leading strategic partnership development.
Ali was recognized as a Top 25 emerging leader in the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area as a participant in the 2014 DiverseCity Fellowship cohort with CivicAction. He has also served in leadership capacities for various community based organizations, most notably with Pakathon, a global non-profit with a focus on creating and funding entrepreneurship ventures in Pakistan, where he founded the Toronto chapter and now leads the development of global partnerships.
Ali holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University. He is an avid musician and can be found either performing at (or in the audience) at music venues around Toronto.
